Exhibition: Paintback!
Changing perceptions:
The brief was to create an exhibition of artworks made by asylum seekers
in special classes organised by the Newport and District Refugee Support
Group. The exhibition was intended to travel to different community venues
across South Wales to promote understanding of the plight of assylum seekers.
Overseeing progress from artwork to final exhibits:
Communimedia helped organise the project, managing production and
distribution of the exhibition. We undertook all the photographic reproduction
of the artworks and conceptualisation and design of the 'Paintback!'
logo. Origination and production of the exhibition and printed material
was coordinated by our staff working in association with the Refugee Support
Group and an external design agency.
